Recent Events
2008 AQHA Show has again come and gone for another
year:
AQHA show was again held in Waco, Texas at the Heart of Texas Colliseum Dodge
Pvailion this year. Even though Mother Nature was not kind to a lot of our regular show patrons who unfortunately could
not attend this years show, the show went off without a hitch as usual. Although our number of entries were down this
year due to the weather, the competition still ran high amongst those who did attend the show come rain or shine. Although
considerations were made to cancel the show due to Hurricane Ike and the potential for severe weather in Waco, the show went
on as planned for those who did attend. Congratulations to all of the 2008 show winners.
3rd 2008 OPEN SHOW
Wow, even with all of the graduations and the heat we still ended the 2008 Open Show Series with almost 300 entries.
Way to go. This has been an awesome series this year and hope to see everyone back for the 2009 Open Show Series.
Please keep an eye on the website for the 2009 Open Show Series dates coming sometime in January. The winners of the
2008 Series will be posted after they are triple checked and verified so please be patient and keep watching the website.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Triple D Photography who attended
our last show of the series and took photographs for us at the show. They will be posting these photos to http://tripledphotography.dotphoto.com for everyone to see and purchase photos if they wish. These photos will be available June 14th. Just go
to this weblink and do a search for MTQHA and it will take you to the show photos.
Don't forget our annual AQHA show will be held in Waco again in September. The show bill is already uploaded on
the Recent & Upcoming Events page of this site. Hope to see everyone there. Until then, happy and safe riding
to everyone.
2nd 2008 OPEN SHOW:
The second show was a success as well and we thank everyone who attended to make it such a success. Hope
to see everyone there at the next show and bring your friends along for the fun. The last show will be held on June
7th at the Bell County Expo Center again.
Tammy has combined a list of the points that can be viewed at the last show. The list can be seen at the
show office window. Good luck to everyone.
1st 2008 OPEN SHOW:
1st 2008 Open Show Series show in Belton was a huge success with over 300 entries.
We did have an accident during the speed events portion of the show but I would like to let everyone know that
the rider is going to be ok just a little sore for a while.
We had a few escape artist horses throughout the day but all was well and everyone was recaptured and put back
where they belonged.
Congratulations to all of the winners and hope to see you and more at the next show on May 3, 2008, in Belton.

Our next and final upcoming event for 2008 will be our Christmas Awards Banquet which will be held on December
6, 2008 at The Cotton Patch in Temple, Texas. You must RSVP no later than 11/15/08 in order to have a seat at the awards banquet, otherwise
it will be standing room only. The dinner selections and cost are given in detail in the above announcement by Jewel.
Don't forget your Chinese gift exchange item and door prizes and come join in on all of the fun to be had.
